Buprenorphine
Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist and Schedule III controlled substance used in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs for opioid use disorder and chronic pain management. Routine laboratory monitoring of buprenorphine is performed in MAT programs, pain management settings, and forensic toxicology investigations to assess patient compliance, detect specimen adulteration, and identify potential diversion. Quality control materials from UTAK contain buprenorphine within our pain management and SAMHSA confirmation panels, available in both urine and oral fluid matrices at multiple concentration levels to support immunoassay screening and LC-MS/MS or GC-MS confirmatory method performance monitoring. Stock and custom QC solutions can incorporate the primary metabolite norbuprenorphine along with other commonly monitored analytes such as fentanyl, oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, benzodiazepines, and additional opioids to support comprehensive pain management and MAT QC programs.
