Validity Check (Mid Range)

*Although we no longer maintain a ready-to-order stock of this control, we offer Validity Check Controls for use with urine drug screens on a made-to-order basis through our Custom QC program.  A validity check is utilized in drugs of abuse (DOA) screening to confirm that the specimen under analysis has not been adulterated by the addition of external substances such as heavy metals, nitrites, oxidants, water, etc. which can interfere with the accuracy of DOA (especially immunoassay) methods. Adulteration can also be confirmed by checking urine pH, specific gravity, creatinine, and heavy metals.
